The Patriots carded 304 in second round action at the Atlantic 10 Golf Championship to stay in fifth place heading into the final round tomorrow. Mason shot a 304 to have a combined 611 total, and are just four strokes out of third place Dayton and George Washington.
Sophomore Mark Folkwein carded an even par 71 on the 6,898 yard TPC Tampa course to lead the Patriots on day two. He earned birdies on the two par 3s on the front nine, but two bogeys on the par 5s dropped him back to even for the day. He is currently in a tied for 11th place overall with a two-round 150.
Junior Zack Lauzon finished with a four-over par 75 to finish tied for 15th overall (78-75=153). He was at two-under par after the 7th hole scoring one bogey and three birdies, but double bogeys on the 8th nd 9th holes dropped him to two-over par after nine.
Andrew Brenneman, the Patriots first round leader with a 74 is currently tied for 19th tied after an 80 today. Senior Kevin Yerks is tied for 21st with at two-round 155.
The Patriots will play the final round tomorrow beginning with a 9:00 a.m. tee time.
