The Colonials won the doubles point with wins at one, two and three doubles. Viktor Svensson and Ulrik Thomsen defeated Mason's Jimmy Davis and Chris Borden 8-4 at three doubles, and Nikita Fomin and Danil Zelenkov won 8-3 over Taylor Sargent and Tanner Baine at the two position. The Patriots Jimmy Lange and Joe Hill battled the 86th ranked doubles team of  Francisco Dias and Julius Tverijonas to 7-7 at one doubles, forcing a tiebreaker for the match. Dias and Tverijonas went on to win the breaker 7-5.

In singles Jimmy Davis lost to Francisco Diaz 7-5, 7-5 at number one. Joe Hill fell to Nikita Fomin 6-1, 6-0 at two singles. GW's Viktor Zelenkov defeated Jimmy Lange 6-4, 6-3 at three singles. Aaron Capitel lost to Julius Tverijonas 6-0, 6-3 at the four position. At five singles the Patriots Tanner Baine lost to Ulrik Thomsen 6-1, 6-2, and Taylor Sargent lost to Ulrik Svensson 6-2, 6-2 at number six.

"We competed well against the 54th ranked team today. Playing high level competition leading into the conference tournament is going to help us prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championships." said coach Quam.

The Patriots see action again on Sunday April 13 versus LaSalle at the Mason Tennis Center. Sunday is Senior Day, and seniors Chris Borden, Jimmy Davis, and Taylor Sargent will be honored at 12:45 pm. Match time is 1:00 pm.
