The George Mason men's golf team stands in 10th place after day one of the River Landing Intercollegiate co-hosted by ECU and UNCW at the River Landing Country Club in Wallace, N.C.
During play on Friday, Mason shot rounds of 307 and 305 to finish the day with a 36-hole mark of 612. They are seven strokes behind A-10 foe Richmond.
Tournament leader VCU carded a (287-291=578) and stand four shots ahead of co-host East Carolina and seven shots ahead of third-place Tulsa (299-290=589). Winthrop is in fourth-place with a 593 (289-304) followed by Maryland in fifth-place at 595 (294-301).
The third and final round of the tournament will begin Saturday morning with a fixed tee start at 7:30 a.m. George Mason will start on hole #10 and tee off in 10-minute intervals beginning with Andrew Brenneman.
