Brooke Blankenship has been selected as the Co-Player of the Week for the A-10 conference.  The other Co-Player of the Week is Alysha Isaacson from Dayton.

College Sports Madness also named Blankenship the Madness A-10 Softball Player of the Week.

Blankenship plays third base for the Patriots and is from Glen Allen, Virginia.  In the doubleheader against UVA, Blankenship helped the Patriots score a combined 32 runs.  Blankenship added three home runs and 10 RBI in the two games.  The junior also had four hits and six runs against the Cavaliers. 

George Mason was scheduled to play two more games this last weekend against St. Bonaventure, however, the doubleheader was cancelled due to rain.

Blankenship has an impressive .385 batting average so far this season, while also scoring 21 runs with 25 RBI.
