The Mason women's tennis team traveled to Pittsburgh to play their first Atlantic 10 match and the host Dukes took the match 7-0.
The Dukes grabbed the doubles points with a 8-3 win at the No. 1 match against Mason's Brittany Pilkington and Ashley Delaney. Mason dropped the second match by the same 8-3 score at No. 2 as the Dukes team of Li and Miller defeated the Patriots freshman team of Morgan Yang and Marjike Boers.
Duquesne went on to win all six singles matches. One match, at No. 6 singes went three sets. Freshman Mina Saygi lost the first match 6-1, but rebounded with a 6-2 win in the second to force a tie-breaker set, which ended with a 10-7 score.
Mason will host Hampton in their next match on March 6.
