College Sports Madness has selected Brooke Blankenship and Julia Czarnecki to its preseason Atlantic-10 All-Conference team.
Junior Brooke Blankenship is from Glen Allen, VA and plays 3B for the Patriots. Blankenship was selected for the All-CAA First Team as a freshman and sophomore. The junior was also an All-Rookie selection as a freshman after finishing with a team-best .349 batting average. She also led the Green and Gold in slugging percentage, on-base percentage, RBI, doubles and home runs.
Blankenship also led the Patriots in hits, batting average, doubles, RBI and home runs for the 2013 season as well.
Sophomore Julie Czarnecki is from Clayton, CA and plays in the outfield for the Patriots. Last season, Czarnecki led the team in runs scored, finishing with 21. The sophomore also had a team-best eight steals as a freshman.
Czarnecki added 19 hits on 83 at bats for a .229 batting average and was also named CAA Rookie of the Week once last season.
