Springfield, Va. - The women's tennis team lost 0-5 to James Madison at the Springfield Golf and Country Club Saturday evening.
The teams were playing an abbreviated 3-2 format which is 3 singles and 2 doubles matches all worth one point. Mason's freshman competed in the singles matches.
Morgan Yang battled Madison's Taylor Pinchoff, but lost 6-4, 6-4, at the top position. The Patriots Sophia Santa Maria and
Olivia Lacy-Thompson fell at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
Mason falls to 2-6 while Madison improves to 2-2. The Patriots next visit Mary Washington February 26 for a 5:00 pm start.
