The George Mason men's tennis team fell to the Georgetown Hoyas, 6-1 in a match played at International Country Club.
The Patriots point came from winning two of the three doubles matches. Mason's top team of Jimmy Lange and Joe Hill defeated the Hoyas team of Distaso/Novak, 6-5(8-6). The Patriots team of Taylor Sargent and Tanner Baine won their match at No. 2 doubles, 6-5(7-2) against Donttino/Tropiano to claim the point.
The Hoyas won all six singles matches. Five matches were finished in two sets, with the lone three-setter at No. 3 singles. Mason's Jimmy Davis lost the first set in a tiebreaker 6-5(7-3), won the second set 6-3 before falling in the final set 6-3 to Georgetown's Casey Distaso.
