The George Mason wrestling team hosts its first dual of the season on Saturday, November 8 against Navy at 1 p.m.. GoMason.com caught up with freshman Gary Miltenberger in this installment of Rookie Wrestlers.
GoMason.com: What factors helped you choose to attend George Mason University?
Gary Miltenberger: Good coaches, a nice area, and good academics.
GoMason.com: What would you say is your favorite thing about George Mason?
Miltenberger: I enjoy the people here, they are really nice and helpful.
GoMason.com: What are some things you looking forward to now that you are wrestling at the collegiate level?
Miltenberger: [The] opportunity to see how much I can grow and improve over the years.
GoMason.com: How has practice and training been so far this season?
Miltenberger: Tough, tiring, but a good experience to go through.
GoMason.com: What kind of goals do you have for the upcoming season?
Miltenberger: I want to see as many All-Americans turned out from our team as possible, and to be able to improve greatly at the open tournaments.
GoMason.com: Which meets are you looking forward to attending this season?
Miltenberger: I just hope there is good wrestling and we do well as a team.

Miltenberger: I have a very good sense of humor.
