The George Mason T&F squads return to the track on Friday, competing at the UAlbany Great Dane Classic at the NYC Armory. Both track and field events are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.
Mason kicked off its indoor season on January 11 as hosts of the Father Diamond Invitational, earning both the men and women's A-10 Performer of Week honors.
Senior All-American Adrian Vaughn earned the spot of Men's Performer of the week after tying his personal record with a time of 6.91 in the men's 60m dash , finishing first in the D-I men's final. Vaughn, looking primed for a tremendous campaign, returns for his senior season after garnering All-American honors as a member of the men's 4x400m relay outdoors last winter.
Fellow senior Mandissa Marshall earned co-Performer of the Week honors on the women's side after taking the top spot in pole vault with a final height of 4.0 meters. Her 4.00m leap is her highest winning height at the Father Diamond Invitational and her best season-opening height ever.
