FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason swimming & diving returns to competition on Saturday, January 11 against Towson University in Towson, Md. after concluding their annual winter training trip in Key Largo, Fla. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Saturday's meet will mark the second time that Mason faces Towson this season, meeting each other in early November in a quad meet with the Tigers, Northeastern and the College of Charleston. Towson previously defeated the women 263-90 and the men in a narrow 182-167 victory. The men's team defeated Towson in last year's dual by the score of 195-99 while the women were defeated, 222-78

The Patriots competed in the Orange Bowl Swimming Classic while the team trained in Key Largo, placing third in each of the men's and women's competitions. As a result of their performances, William Clendenin, Zepher Begnell and Steff Maurer were each award as Atlantic 10 Athlete/Rookies of the Week.
