On July 1, 2013, George Mason University officially became the 13th member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Mason was accepted unanimously by the league's Council of Presidents in March.  The largest university in Virginia, George Mason has an enrollment of over 32,500 and fields 20 of the A-10's 21 championship sports.
