Mason and Maryland will be meeting for the second and final time this season. The Patriots topped the Terps, 3-2, two weeks ago in College Park, handing the host their only non-conference loss at home thus far this season.
It is the 45th all-time meeting between the two squads, with Mason leading the series, 25-19.
The Patriots have dropped their last eight contests, and currently stand at 12-20 overall. Despite the losing streak, Mason is hitting .291 as a team with four everyday starters hitting over .300. Blaise Fernandez leads the way, hitting .388 with 50 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, two home runs, 17 RBI's and 22 runs scored. He has reached base safely in each game this season, and has a 39 game streak dating back to last season. Tucker Tobin follows closely behind, hitting .364 with a team-best seven home runs, 30 RBI's and 26 runs scored.
Maryland will host VCU on Tuesday before making the trip to Fairfax. The Terps are currently 16-15 this season and have lost three in a row after being swept by No. 1North Carolina this past weekend.
Kevin Martir is hitting a team best .352, while Charlie White leads the team with 41 hits, 27 runs scored, .444 on base percentage and 28 stolen bases and Kyle Convissar has a team leading 27 RBI's.
