PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The George Mason track and field team wrapped up competition at the historic Penn Relays on Saturday, as two women's and one men's relay took to the track Saturday Afternoon at Franklin Field.
Competing early in the afternoon on national television, the 4x200m relay of Aneesha Scott, Shavon Briscoe, Daianna Barron and Cierra McGee finished seventh in a time of 1:34.51. The mark improved upon their previous season-best time (1:35.87) set on Friday in the qualifying heats.
In the second-to-last event of the meet, Barron, McGee, Taylor Wheaton and Dominique Graham placed sixth in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:33.72. The time is a season best, topping the previous mark (3:34.98) by over a second.
For the men, the quartet of Parker Boudreau, Cody Raphael, David Rushing and Tyler Golden posted an IC4A qualifying time of 7:36.85 in the 4x800m relay, good for 11th place.
The Patriots return to action next weekend at the CAA Outdoor Championships. Select individuals will vie for event titles, however, both squads are ineligible for team championships.
