RALEIGH, N.C. -The George Mason golf team sits in 10th place, just one stroke out of 8th, after day one of the Wolfpack Spring Open in Raliegh, N.C. on Saturday. Duke owns a three-shot lead heading into Sunday's final round.
Leading the Patriots are Zack Lauzon and Christiam Bech who eacvh shot 2-over par at the par-72, 7,358-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course located on NC State's Centennial Campus. Mason's Danny Kim carded a 76.
The Blue Devils lead at 2-under 286, followed by the Wolfpack at 1-over 289, and Clemson is third at 3-over 289. All three Atlantic Coast Conference schools will play in the final group tomorrow beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The 2013 field includes 13 teams: Boston College, Canisius, Clemson, Columbia, Drexel, Duke, Francis Marion, George Mason, Loyola (MD), NC State, St. John's, Valparaiso and William & Mary.
