The Patriots travelled to Towson looking for their first win in CAA action but the Tigers defeated George Mason 4-0 at the Towson Center Tennis Courts.
The Tigers (11-7, 2-3 CAA) won all three doubles matches to take home the doubles point, and the match was stopped after the Tigers earned the decisive fourth, and winning, point.
Towson was led by freshman Lorena Ferrer who earned a straight set victory over Maya Hicks 6-0 and 6-1. Junior Nisha Shah and also won in straight sets for Towson.
Shah defeated Kiersten Pappas 6-3, 6-1 while Burke defeated her Patriot opponent 7-5 and 6-0 to help Towson secure the victory.
