The George Mason softball team will host the University of Maryland Terps for a doubleheader this Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Mason picked up two wins in a doubleheader with Hampton University, Tuesday. The Patriots defeated the Pirates 3-1 in the first game and took a 10-2 decision in five innings in the second game. Brooke Blankenship continues to lead the Patriots offensively hitting .321 with 36 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 25 RBI's.
The Terps recently fell in a three game series with NC State. Maryland took the first game of the doubleheader but fell in the next two. Lindsey Schmeiser leads the Terps hitting .333 with 34 hits, seven doubles, four triple, eight home runs and 43 RBI's. Sara Acosta is close behind Schmeiser hitting .324 with 36 hits, one double, two triples and 15 RBI's.
