BOSTON, Mass. - The
George Mason wrestling team concluded their season this Saturday at the
Colonial Athletic Association Championships. Mason finished sixth and Hofstra claimed
the championship title for the third year in a row.
Sophomore Jake Kettler
took second place in the 285 weight class. Kettler fell 7-3 to Kevin Innis of
Boston University in the final match. Kettler's performance could earn him a
bid to the NCAA Tournament which will be held in the Wells Fargo Arena in Des
Moines, Iowa on March 21-23. The at-large bids will be announced later this
week.
Seniors Jaaziah Bethea
and Rich Lavorato also had strong performances both placed fourth in the 157
and 125 weight class, respectively.
