The Patriots will take to the diamond in a pair of non-conference games this week before opening conference play at Georgia State over the weekend. Mason will travel to VCU on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. before welcoming Navy to Spuhler Field on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

Mason went 3-1 last week, defeating Georgetown on Wednesday, 4-1, before taking the weekend series against Fairfield, 2-1. The Patriots won in walkoff fashion in its first game against Fairfield, as Blaise Fernandez and Josh Leemhuis connected on back-to-back sac flys to win the game. Saturday's game went to extra innings, with Fairfield bringing in two runs in the top of the 11th to take a 5-3 lead. Mason rallied in the bottom of the 11th to load the bases, but Fernandez lined out to third to end the game. It was another close game on Sunday, but the Patriots went ahead in the sixth inning with two-out run production from Mick Foley and Brandon Gum, eventually winning by a score of 7-4.

Tucker Tobin currently leads the Mason offense, hitting .452 with a team-best 13 RBI, 12 runs scored, four home runs and .857 slugging percentage. Josh Leemhuis and Blaise Fernandez have 7 and 6 RBI's, respectively.
