Mason opened up Colonial Athletic Association play last weekend with a three-game series with Georgia State. The Panthers took the first two games on Saturday by a 5-0 and 7-4 score. In the last game of the series Georgia State just out edged the Patriots with a walk-off single lifting the Panthers over the Patriots 2-1.

Georgetown is currently on a six-game winning streak recently sweeping a three-game series with Villanova. The Hoyas and Patriots are even at five wins a piece in all-time play and last saw each other last season. Georgetown claimed the 2-1 victory in Fairfax last year after two innings of extra play.
