For the second day in a row the Mason women's tennis team battled the wind and temperatures as well as an opponent. Today Mason found a way to pull out a close 4-3 victory at Mt. St. Mary's.
The match began with the singles and the Mount pulled ahead quickly as Keirsten Pappas was unable to finish with a back issue. Mason evened the score when Kate Desiatnikova won in the #6 position. Brittany Pilkington and Maya Hicks put Mason up 3-1. The Mountaineers dug in and won at #4 and #5 to tie the score at 3 all.
With the match coming down to needing to win two of the three doubles matches the duo of Erdenebat/Desiatnikova gave the Patriots an edge with 8-0 win at #3 doubles. The match was secured when Delaney/Pilkington won at #2 doubles. The team of Pappas/Hicks made it a clean sweep by winning at #1.
