Softball Opens Conference Slate at Georgia State

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason Softball team will open Colonial Athletic Association play when they travel to Atlanta, Ga. for a three-game series with George State. All the games will  be played at the Robert E. Heck Softball Complex. The series will begin with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12 p.m. followed by another 12 p.m. matchup on Sunday.

Mason recently snapped their 10-game losing streak defeating UMBC 5-3 on Wednesday and are currently 7-16 overall. The Panthers are 15-9 on the season and have won nine of their last eleven games.

The Patriots were selected to finish sixth in the conference while Georgia State was predicted to finish second. The Panthers hold a 24-9 all-time record against Mason. In their last series, Georgia State emerged victorious after dropping the first game of the series the Panthers went on to take the next two.
