The Mason golf team scored the second-best team score on the final day of the Bash at the Beach Golf Tournament to finish sixth overall in the 11-team tournament. The Patriots carded a team one-over par 285 at The Surf Golf and Beach Club.

Christian Bech tallied the best score in the round for the Patriots with a two-under par 69. Casey Thompson was the most consistent player for Mason with an overall one-over par 214 (70-72-72). He finished tied for 14th overall. Freshman Mark Folkwein (75-72-73) and Alex Kormanac (73-76-71) each finished tied for 28th overall with a three-round 220 (+7).

Radford was crowned tournament champions, finishing the tournament with an 845 (-7) and three golfers within the top-10. James Madison's Rich Leeper earned medalist honors, leading the field with a 67-72-65=204 (-9). JMU captured the top two spots as Leeper's teammate, Trey Smith, carded a 69-70-66=205 (-8) for the tournament.

The Patriots return to the links as hosts of the two-day Mission Inn Spring Spectacular in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla, March 16-17.
