FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason softball team will open its home slate this Friday when it plays host to Cornell, Rider and Rutgers for the Patriot Invitational. The tournament will span over three days beginning on Friday, March 1^st.

The Patriots last competed on Feb. 15^th when they split games against Winthrop and USC Upstate. Mason defeated Winthrop 3-1 in the first game and then fell to USC Upstate 0-8.
