FAIRFAX, Va. - The
George Mason swimming and diving team will compete in the Colonial Athletics
Championships which begin this Wednesday.
The event will be held in the Jim McKay Natatorium in Fairfax and will
conclude on Saturday after four days of competition.
The Patriot men are
currently 7-3 overall and 3-1 in conference action and the women have posted a
5-6 overall and a 0-5 league mark. Both teams have not competed since they
defeated George Washington on January 26th. In last year's CAA
Championship the men finished second while the women finished seventh.

Scouting the Competition:
Delaware: The
Delaware men enter the meet 6-3 overall and 2-3 in the CAA while the women
enter 2-8 overall and 0-2 in conference competition. Both teams last competed
at the Bucknell Invitational on February 2nd.
Drexel: The
men enter 6-2 overall and 0-1 in conference competition and the women are 2-8
overall and 0-2 in the conference. The men last competed in the Cavalier Invite
Feb. 15-16 where they took sixth place.
James Madison (Women): The Dukes are 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference
and are the reigning CAA Champion. They last competed at the Cavalier Invite
where they took first place.
Northeastern (Women): The Huskies have posted an 8-7 overall mark and 2-3
conference record and last competed on Feb. 2nd at Rhode Island
where they won 165.5-110.5.
Old Dominion: The
men are 4-3 overall and 2-2 currently in the conference and last competed at
the Cavalier Invite where they took third place. The women enter 6-5 overall
and 3-2 in conference competition.
Towson: The
Tiger men are 3-8 overall and 0-5 in conference competition and the women are
10-2 overall and 6-0 in conference action. Both swim teams last competed at the
Virginia Tech Invitational and the dive teams competed in the West Chester Dive
Invitational.
UNC Wilmington: Both
the women's and men's team last competed at the Virginia Tech Invitational. The
men are currently 5-5 overall and 3-0 in the conference and are the reigning
11-time CAA Champions. The women are 2-12 and 0-4 in the conference.
William and Mary: The
women come into the meet 6-7 overall and 3-2 in the conference while the men
enter 6-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Tribe last competed at the Cavalier
Invite where the men finished second and the women finished fourth.
