NEWS & NOTES
The George Mason lacrosse team opens its 2013 home slate on Saturday hosting Brown in the first-ever meeting between the two programs in program history. Brown kicks off its season in Fairfax, while Mason comes into the contest 0-1 having fallen at Longwood in its season-opener on Wednesday.

At Longwood, Caitlin McGinn, Allie Hilderbrandt and Kirstin Russell all posted two goals apeice for the Patriots. Caroline Brouse and Brittany Pastrana split time in cage, combining for 10 saves.

Brown finished last season with an overall record of 6-8 and went 1-6 in the Ivy League. The Bears will be led this season by tri-captains Lindsay Minges, Tara Rooke and Bre Hudgins.
