FAIRFAX, Va. - The
George Mason wrestling team travels to the University of Maryland this Thursday
for a 7:00 p.m. dual. Thursday's dual will mark the last time the Patriots
compete before the Colonial Athletic Association Championships next month. The
dual will be held in the Comcast Center in College Park, Md.
In their last dual against Old Dominion, the Patriots were
defeated 25-6. Greg Flournoy had an impressive performance in the dual however
upsetting the No. 30 ranked 149 by 5-1 which garnered him CAA Wrestler of the
Week honors.
The Terps split their last duals with Missouri and Wyoming
in the National Wrestling Coaches Association/Cliff Keen National Duals.
Maryland fell to No. 6 Missouri 27-13 and defeated No. 20 Wyoming 20-12 in the
third place match. Maryland holds six ranked wrestlers on its roster, at 125
No. 17 Shane Gentry, 133 No. 16 Geoffrey Alexander, 141 No. 29 Shane Arechiga, 149 No. 32 Louis Mascola, 184 No. 8 Jimmy Sheptock and at 197 No. 19
