FAIRFAX, Va. - In
their last home dual of the season, the George Mason wrestling team fell to
Bloomsburg 39-0. The dual began with the 141 weight class and was held in the
Recreation and Athletic Complex.
At halftime Mason honored its four graduating seniors, Jaaziah Bethea, Ty Knepp, Rich Lavorato and Drew Squires.
Bloomsburg got out to
an early 12-0 lead with three major decision wins in the 141, 149 and 157 weight
classes.
At 165 the match came
to riding time which gave Kevin Hartnett the 1-0 decision win over Ty Knepp to
bring Bloomsburg's lead to 15-0. Bloomsburg would build their lead out to 39-0
for the win.
Mason's next match is
Thursday when they take on Old Dominion for a 7 p.m. dual.
