FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's rowing team raced eight boats in the 2013 Head of the Occoquan on Saturday on its home course, Occoquan Reservoir at Sandy Run Regional Park.
Mason got things started with the Varsity 8+, racing three boats in the event. Mason claimed its best finish of the afternoon in the Varsity 8+ with a sixth place finish along with a 21st and 24th finishes.
One boat raced in the Novice 8+ and took home 15th-place, while four boats participated in the Varsity 4+. Mason crossed the finish line to take 16th, 23rd, 24th and 32nd place finishes, respectively.
