FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason wrestling team defeated Anderson University 43-10 and Davidson 28-16 to take two of three duals in the quad meet held in Davidson, N.C. on Sunday.

With the two dual meet victories the Patriots improve their dual record to 3-1 on the early season, also falling to ninth-ranked Ohio State University on Sunday by the score of 29-6.

Bill Prochniewski and Vincent Rodriguez won the first two matches against Anderson University before the Ravens won the next three. Mason wrestlers would win the final five to comeback for the team victory. The Patriots also fell in three of the first four matches against Davidson before coming back to also defeat the Wildcats.

Greg Flournoy had a big afternoon for Mason, winning all three of his dual matches. The redshirt sophomore began the day pinning down Ian Harper of Anderson University in just over one minute of action in a match at 174lbs. and then hung on in sudden victory for a 2-1 win over Randall Languis of Ohio State University. Flournoy completed his loss-free afternoon with a win by technical fall over Davidson's Nick Pappyliou with the final two bouts at 157lbs.

Junior Ryan Hembury won two matches on the day, his first a pin over Taylor Dorsett of Anderson University at 197lbs. and his second at 184lbs. over Matthew O'Hara of Ohio State in a 10-7 decision. Jake Kettler was another Patriot to pick up two wins, coming in the duals against Anderson and Davidson.

Mason takes the mat once again on Novemer 30 in Troy, N.Y. at Northeast Duals, competing against Sacred Heart, Binghamton and another nationally ranked squad from the Big Ten Conference in Illinois.
