FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University wrestling team will be hosting an open practice this Saturday, October 12. Practice starts at noon in the wrestling room in the Field House and is open at a free cost to the public.
The wrestling team can officially begin to hold team practices starting on Thursday, October 10. The practice on Saturday will showcase the hard work that the team has put in this offseason.
Mason wrestling will also be hosting the 48th annual NWCA All-Star Classic, a two-day event that will feature many of the nation's top Division 1 wrestling talent facing off in a dual meet format. The Classic will take place at the Patriot Center from Friday, November 1 to Saturday, November 2.
The event will additionally include a middle school All-Star match, an All-Star wrestling clinic, a pre-meet social and several exhibition matches before the main event on November 2. Mason's own Sahid Kargbo will represent the Patriots in one of the exhibition matches on Sunday.
