GoMason.com: What
is your favorite part about George Mason University?
Kenney: I
love how friendly everyone is all over campus. People hold doors open for each
other and smile.
Gabriele: Outside
of the incredible weather, I really love how involved my professors are in
helping me succeed and the one-on-one advising I receive.
GoMason.com: Why
did you choose George Mason University?
Kenney: When
I was looking at colleges, I knew I wanted to go to a large school near a city.
I also chose Mason because of the strong systems engineering program.
Gabriele: Mason
is in a great location and has high academic standards and I wanted a good
education and the ability to go out of state and play softball.
GoMason.com: How
did you get involved in softball?
Kenney: After
one too many handballs in pee-wee soccer, my parents switched me over to coach-pitch
softball.
Gabriele: My
dad was always involved in sports and encouraged me to try softball and it
stuck.
GoMason.com: What
are your goals for this season?
Kenney: To
have a batting average of .300 or higher and to maintain a high GPA.
Gabriele: Above
all else I would love to have a chance to attend the NCAA tournament.
GoMason.com: If
you could go back in time throughout history, what would you change and why?
Kenney: I
would prevent WWII because it would remove the precedent for nuclear warfare.
Gabriele: Probably
nothing, everything that has happened has brought me to where I am today and I
like where I am.
GoMason.com: If
you could meet any celebrity dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Kenney: Jason
Varitek.
Gabriele: Derek
Jeter, he is an awesome athlete but he is humble and a great leader.
