FAIRFAX, Va. - Recently, Parker Boudreau of the George Mason Cross Country team took some time to answer some questions about himself for GoMason.com. Parker Boudreau is currently a senior on the men's team. Last year, he finished 18th at the CAA Championships and he had his best finish of the year at the Mason Invitational finishing 6th overall.
GoMason.com: Why did you choose George Mason University?
Boudreau: I chose Mason because of the coaches, the location (being near DC), and I had a great recruiting visit.
GoMason.com: What are your goals for this season?
Boudreau: My goals this season are to be competitive at the CAA Championships and to help the team do well at the Regional Championships.
GoMason.com: Who would you say you look up to the most?
Boudreau: This may sound cliché, but I look up to Coach Gerard the most. Time and time again, he has been patient with me as an athlete and as an individual. I know I can be honest with him about any situation and he will help me work through it.
GoMason.com: What does your typical off-season training consist of?
Boudreau: My off-season training consists mainly of longer mileage running, to build a strong base for the upcoming season.
GoMason.com: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you take with you?
Boudreau: A satellite phone, water purification system and a knife.
GoMason.com: If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go?
Boudreau: Antarctica. I mean, how many people can say they have visited Antarctica?
