EUGENE, Ore. - George Mason track and field athlete David
Verburg continued his quest for a ticket to the 2012 Olympics in London,
advancing to the finals of the 400m to be held on Sunday.
Verburg advanced after finishing fourth in the first of two
semifinal heats with a time of 45.31.
Tomorrow's finals will take place at 7:20 pm EST and will be
broadcast live on NBC.
Also competing for Mason at the Trials was LaVell Handy, who
finished 22nd with a jump of 7.26m in the preliminary round of the
long jump.
