George Mason Women's tennis head coach Stephen Curtis has announced the addition of three incoming student-athletes to the Patriot's team. The recruiting class consists of Brittany Pilkington (Cape Henry Collegiate School/Virginia Beach, Va), Erdenesuren Erdenebat (Yorktown H.S./Fairfax, Va) and Maya Hick (Cranbrook H.S./West Orchard Lake, MI).

"I am very excited about the addition of Brittany, Esu and Maya for next year," said Curtis. "All of them have proven they can play at a very high level. I expect all of them to make immediate and major contributions to our starting line-up."

Pilkington and Esu come out as the third and fourth ranked players in Virginia. Pilkington, who has been ranked in the top 150 in the country, played tennis for the Dolphins at Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach. She earned VISAA DII State Player of the Year honors twice (2009, 2011). Erdenebat played three years of tennis for the Yorktown Patriots. She has been ranked in the top 200 nationally, was crowned the Virginia State doubles champion in 2010 and was the runner-up in the Regional in singles three times.

Hicks played only one year of tennis at Cranbrook High School in Michigan to work on USTA ranking. She has been ranked as high as 180 in the nation by tennisrecruiting.net and top 100 USTA Midwest region. Maya has ranked as high as the fourth best player out of Michigan. She has several relatives that competed at the collegiate level in different sports, including father Michael who ran track at Luther College.
