The George Mason rowing team concludes its season at the 74th annual Dad Vail Regatta this weekend, racing five boats in the most renowned rowing event of the season. The 2012 regatta features over 3,500 student-athletes from 120 colleges and universities across North America and Canada. The annual event will kick off at 7 a.m. Friday morning with the semifinals and final rounds of competition to take place on Saturday.

The regatta will be aired on 6ABC/ESPN3.com for the final afternoon races. WPVI (6ABC) will also provide live-cut-ins at the top of every hour beginning at 1 p.m.

"We are coming off our toughest race of the season, the CAA Championship, and we came up a little short of where we wanted to be," stated head coach Geoff Dillard. "We are now focused on the Dad Vail, making corrections, and getting our speed to where it needs to be. The competition at the Dad Vail is strong and we will need to be at our best to progress. We hope to end our season on a high note."
