FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason lacrosse head coach Lauren Hay
announced the addition of six student-athletes to the roster for the 2013
season. The class includes three midfielders, two defenders and one goalkeeper.
"We have an extremely talented group of freshman entering into our
program next fall," stated head coach Hay. "They are a very athletic
class and will bring a competitive dynamic to our program. We are looking
forward to the immediate impact this class will bring to our team."
The incoming class is comprised of Erin Anderson (West
Chester, Pa.), Megan Bisson (Vienna, Va.), Caroline Brouse (Stevensville, Md.),
Chloe Chan (Manchester, England), Gina Purdue (Centreville, Md.) and Kaylin
Ziemba (Kingsville, Md.).

Henderson High School
A two-sport athlete at West Chester Henderson, Anderson
played field hockey and lacrosse for the Warriors. In 2011, Anderson was named
second team All Ches-Mont and Honorable Mention All-Area. In three seasons, she
recorded 101 ground balls, 63 caused turnovers, 12 draw controls, seven goals
and four assists. Also in 2011, Anderson was selected first team All Ches-Mont
and first team All-Area in field hockey. In addition, she was tabbed Honorable
Mention All Ches-Mont and Honorable Mention All-Area in 2010 for field hockey.
In 2009, Anderson was the recipient of the Coaches Award. She was a member of
the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and Spanish Honor
Society.
Megan Bisson

James Madison High
School
Earning three letters in both field hockey and lacrosse at
James Madison High School, Bisson was a two-time First Team All District honoree in
lacrosse. In 2011, she was tabbed First Team All Region, Honorable Mention All
Met and helped lead the Warhawks to a Virginia State Championship. A Second
Team All District honoree in 2010, she was named Honorable Mention All Region
additionally in 2009. Her junior season, Bisson scored 40 goals to go along
with six assists, 25 caused turnovers, 35 draw controls and 43 ground balls.

Kent Island High
School
Brouse competed in basketball, lacrosse and soccer at Kent
Island High School and helped lead Maryland United East to a 2010 President's
Cup Championship, two Top of the Bay Championships and the 2011 Summer Showcase
Championship. In 2011, Brouse was the only goalkeeper selected to the first
team All-Mid Shore Conference.

Marple Hall School
Chan has been a member of five club teams including England
Lacrosse (one year), North Lacrosse (three years), Cheshire County (four years)
and Stockport Lacrosse Club (five years). She helped lead North Lacrosse to a
2011 Junior Territorial Championship and Cheshire Lacrosse to a 2011 County
Championship. Tabbed Senior MVP in 2011, Chan was also selected as the Junior
MVP in 2010 and Senior Most Improved in 2009.

A three-sport athlete at Queen Anne's County High School,
Purdue earned three letters in lacrosse and soccer. The recipient of the Unsung
Hero Award in 2011, Purdue was also tabbed second team All Bayside Conference
her junior season. In 2010, Purdue earned the Heart of the Lion Award and was
named third team All Bayside Conference. From 2010-11, she recorded 77 ground
balls, 37 goals, 31 draw controls, 26 caused turnovers and 24 assists. She
helped lead the Lions to a perfect record in 2011, a Bayside Championship,
State of Maryland 2A-1A Regional Championship and State Semifinal appearance. The Lions
were 2010 North Bayside Champions and State of Maryland 2A-1A Regional
Champions.
Kaylin Ziemba

Maryvale Preparatory
School
Earning three letters in field hockey and
lacrosse, Ziemba was a four-time Scholar Athlete Award winner at Maryvale
Preparatory School. A 2011 IAAM All-Star, Ziemba played five years for Rome
Club lacrosse. She was a member of the Honor Society, National Youth Leadership
Forum on Medicine, Young Scholars Program, student council representative and
President of Fair Trade. In 2012, she helped lead Maryvale Preparatory School to a IAAM A championship. Ziemba was awarded the Varsity Captain Leadership Award with two additional captains, named Defensive MVP for field hockey and was a six-time recipient of the Scholar-Athlete award. Additionally, she received the Distinguished Honor Award for maintaining a 3.8 cumulative GPA or higher.
