The Patriots are set to play their final conference series of the
year against Georgia State University on Friday and Saturday afternoon. Mason is trying to make a late push in to
fourth place in the CAA standings in order to qualify for the CAA
Tournament. Currently the Patriots are
two games out of the fourth seed and will need to have a big series against Georgia
State, who is currently third in the CAA with an 11-6 record.
In their last conference series, Mason took two out of three from
Drexel to position themselves for a late run at a conference playoff spot. Georgia State has been solid in conference
all season but most recently lost two out of three games to James Madison last
weekend.
The Patriots will take on Georgia State in two games on Friday,
the first of which beginning at noon. The
12pm game will be the game of the week at George Mason and all Mason students
can receive a free Mason mini bats at the game with valid student ID. The second game is tentatively scheduled for
a first pitch at 2pm.
The third game of the
series on Saturday is also scheduled to begin at 12pm and the five Mason
seniors, Miranda Cranford, Rachael Davies, Tori Dudley, Katie Rynex and Alyssa See will be honored before the game for Senior Day.
All games this weekend will have live stats and live audio
available on gomason.com.
