NEW ORLEANS, La. - The George Mason women's track and field
team broke into the Top-15 regional rankings in the latest poll released by the
USTFCCCA on Tuesday.
Mason jumped to the 15th spot this week in the
Southeast Region and is currently the only CAA team to reside in the rankings.
The Patriots have several marks that top the CAA this
season, including senior Cierra McGee in the 400m (53.07), junior Mandissa
Marshall in the pole vault (4.30m), freshman Kelsey Reese in the javelin
(47.02m), sophomore Amanda Denger in the heptathlon (4,674 pts.) and the 4x400
relay of McGee, sophomore Daianna Barron, junior Taylor Wheaton and sophomore
Dominique Graham (3:37.43).
Also residing among conference leaders is McGee in the 200m
(23.77, 2nd), senior Monique McKenzie in the 800m (2:10.62, 2nd)
and junior Taylor Wheaton in the 400m hurdles (1:01.12).
The men also continue to appear in the regional rankings, currently

Mason returns to action on Thursday, traveling to the Penn
Relays.
