George Mason Athletics took part in the 25th
celebration of National STUDENT-Athlete Day on Monday. The celebration honors
high school and college student-athletes nationwide for achieving excellence in
the classroom and on the field, while making significant contributions to their
schools and communities.
Mason Athletics took part in the day hosting activities on the
Fairfax Campus for all student-athletes. In addition, those student-athletes
who made the Dean's List were specially recognized. A full list of student-athletes
on the Fall 2011 Dean's List can be found below.
National STUDENT-Athlete Day is celebrated annually and has seen
3.180,498 million student-athletes honored, nationwide, since 1997. It has
become one of America's strongest endeavors promoting the positive virtues of
sport and student-athletes as a whole, and the positive affect they have on
society.
