The George Mason
lacrosse team opens its final three games on the road traveling to William and Mary for a 1 p.m. Sunday matinee. The Patriots and Tribe have met 21 times in program history with William & Mary leading the all-time series, 15-6.
Mason is coming off a 9-7 victory over Old Dominion Friday night led by Emily Ellisen with three goals and Caitlin Formato and Rachel Obregon each with two goals. The Patriots recorded 20 ground balls in the contest as Brittany Pastrana picked up the win in cage, recording seven saves.
William and Mary is coming off a tough defeat at James Madison despite leading at halftime. The Dukes outscored the Tribe 9-3 in the final 30 minutes for the 15-11 triumph. Kyrstin Mackrides led the Tribe offense with three goals, while Lucy Ferguson led with three ground balls.
