NAMPA, Idaho - Junior David Verburg competed at day one of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday evening, running in the 400m preliminaries.
Verburg crossed the line in a time of 46.52, good for fourth in his heat and 10th place overall. However, the time did not advance him to the finals of the event on Saturday.
Florida's Tony McQuay had the top time in the event, finishing in 45.85.
Senior Lavell Handy will compete at the national championships tomorrow evening in the triple jump starting at 7:30 pm.
