Rowing Opens Spring Season Against North Carolina Saturday

The George Mason rowing team will open the 2012 spring slate this Saturday racing against North Carolina at Lake Lure. The race will kick off a week of training for the Mason squad in North Carolina.

The Patriots will race five boats in a standard 2000m race. The order of events is as follows:
Novice 8+
2nd Varsity 8+
Varsity 8+
Novice 4+
Varsity 4+

The first race of the spring season for both squads will begin at approximately 4:00 p.m. Mason will look to carry over momentum from a strong fall season into the spring. Highlighting the fall were first place finishes in the Head of the Occoquan from the varsity 8 and varsity 4.
