After wrapping up competition at the Murphy Cup, the George Mason rowing team is set to compete in two events this weekend. First, the Patriots will take on George Washington and Georgetown the in the George's Cup for the second straight year. The trophy will be awarded on a points system based on results from the Varsity 8, JV8 and Varsity 4. On Sunday, Mason will race five boats in the annual Occoquan Sprints. Last season, Mason captured first place in the Novice 8 and Varsity 8 to advance to the finals where it took second and fourth, respectively.
