Mason
men's tennis finished their five-match Spring Break schedule in Hilton Head, S.C.,
defeating Ohio Wesleyan and Limestone. The Patriots improved to 9-5 after going
2-3 during the week.
Mason
swept all the matches against Ohio Wesleyan for the 9-0 win. The Patriots lost
only one singles match against Limeston for the 6-1 win.
Mason's Taylor Sargent, Chris Borden and Patrick Mulquin each won two singles matches. Sargent defeated Ohio Wesleyan's Richie Karban at No. 2 singles and Limestone's Abraham Lascari Diaz at No. 4 singles. Borden won at No. 3 singles against Wesleyan's Ryan Leslie and No. 5 singles versus Limestone's Lucas Guinski. Mulquin had no trouble with Wesleyan's John Russell at No. 4 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. In the Limestone match at No. 6 singles, Mulquin defeated Daniel Lopez 7-5, 6-3.
The Patriots return to the court next at Loyola on March 22.
