The George Mason baseball team kicks off a five-game road trip on Tuesday, traveling to face the Richmond Spiders on Tuesday and the Longwood Lancers on Wednesday before continuing conference play at Towson over the weekend.

Mason is coming off of a conference series win against Hofstra over the weekend, winning on Friday and Saturday before dropping Sunday's contest. The wins guaranteed Mason's first conference series victory since the 2010 season and avenged a series sweep from one year ago in Hempstead.

This season Mason is paced by senior infielder Brig Tison, who leads the team in batting percentage (.435, 3rd CAA), on-base percentage (.500, 4th CAA), runs scored (18, 2nd CAA), hits (27, 1st CAA), walks (8) and stolen bases (8, 2nd CAA).

Senior outfielder Dan Schafferman leads the team with 1 RBI's (3rd CAA), while ranking second on the team in batting average (.362) and home runs (3, 2nd CAA). Senior designated hitter Zack Helgeson leads the team and conference with five home runs and also leads Mason and stands third in the conference with a .647 slugging percentage.
