SEATTLE, Wash. -- Former George Mason pitcher Shawn Camp has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Mariners, as announced by the organization earlier this week.
Camp was an unrestricted free agent following the 2011 season when he led the Toronto Blue Jays with 67 appearances (all in relief) while posting a 6-3 record and a 4.21 ERA.
Camp's professional career has included stops in Kansas City, Tampa Bay and Toronto, pitching from the bullpen for each squad. He has a career recod of 25-26 with a 4.40 ERA in 488.1 innings pitched. He made his professional debut on April 5, 2004 for the Kansas City Royals against the Chicago White Sox, pitching two relief innings.
