FAIRFAX, Va. - The
Patriots fell to Central Michigan on Saturday night by a score of 23-13, despite some
impressive individual performances. Freshman
Vincent Rodriguez won in a major decision by a score of 15-3 for his 13th
victory of the season. Redshirt
sophomore Kevin Timothy was also victorious in a hard fought 6-4 decision at 149
pounds to even the team score at seven.
Junior Ty Knepp was the next Mason winner with his 6-4
decision at 165 pounds. He was able to
even the tie the team score at 10-10 after the Central Michigan victory in the
157 pound weight class. Mendbagana Tovuujav
was the final victor on the night for the Patriots, he was able to win his
match with an 8-3 decision.
Mason will be on the mat again next Saturday when they
travel Philadelphia for a conference dual against Drexel at 12pm. The Patriots will then travel to
Millersville, Pennsylvania for a 6:30pm dual against Millersville University on
Saturday night.
