Mason softball is set to take their second road trip in as many weeks to
South Carolina. After finishing 1-3 in
the Kickin' Chicken Classic in Conway, South Carolina last weekend, the
Patriots will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for the University of South
Carolina Upstate Tournament.
Mason and USCU will be joined in the tournament by Howard University,
Georgetown University and Youngstown State University. This will be Mason's last trip outside the
state of Virginia until the beginning of conference play on Saturday, March 24th.
The Patriot ladies will begin the tournament with a 12pm game on Friday
against Howard. They will follow that with
a doubleheader on Saturday against Georgetown and USCU at 10:00am and 12pm,
respectively. Mason will conclude their
tournament with at 9:30am Sunday game against Youngstown State before returning
to school.
Mason will host two tournaments of their own following their return from
Spartanburg. The first tournament will
be the Patriot Classic on March 2nd - March 4th and the
second will be the Mason Invitational on March 9th - March 11th.
