The George Mason men's
and women's track & field teams will compete at two separate events over
the weekend, with the distance runners heading to the Boston University
Valentine Invitational, while the jumpers and sprinters will head to the SPIRE
Invitational in Geneva, Ohio.
Last week at the
Armory Collegiate Invite, the men's T&F team qualified seven individuals
for the IC4A championships, while the women had four individual and two relay
ECAC qualifying marks.
Qualifiers for the
men were seniors Parker Boudreau (mile), Ja-Vell Bullard (200m), Rachaunn Ruffin
(200m) and Dwight Webley (triple jump), juniors David Verburg (400m) and George
Empty (500m) and sophomore Adrian Vaughn (200m).
For the women, seniors
Cierra McGee (500m), Grace Mavugara (triple jump) and sophomores Daianna Barron
(400m) and Dominique Graham (high jump) recorded individual qualifying marks,
while the 4x400m relay and distance medley relay squads also qualified for the
ECAC Championships.
